Our Village Area

Our village covers all households in the area shown on the map, bounded by Whitford Brown Avenue in the south, the Porirua Harbour in the west, Plimmerton and Camborne in the north, and Whitby and Ascot Park in the east. Click on the map to enlarge.
The well-established residential areas, substantially surrounded by the harbour and the Pauatahanui Inlet and containing Aotea Lagoon, afford many residents stunning rural, hill, and water views.
The village has a busy central shopping centre on the Mana Esplanade that includes a supermarket, post office, restaurants and takeaways, bars and cafes, and extensive medical services. It has substantial sporting facilities at Ngati Toa domain and features a large marina. The area also incorporates two primary schools, two kindergartens and four early childhood education centres.
Our village sits astride State Highway 59 and the southwestern end of SH58, and the North Island Main Trunk railway runs along its western boundary. Train stations at Mana and Paremata serve passengers on the Kapiti sector of the Metlink regional rail services operating between Wellington and Waikanae.

Our Facebook Page

The Association also maintains a Facebook page, Paremata Residents Association, and we encourage you all to visit it and have your say on any local happenings, issues, or news. This would be a good place to discuss any matters that the Association may be able to take action on to improve our Village. We will visit it regularly, comment where appropriate, and most importantly, we’ll listen to what you have to say!
